CCDXlate is a batch application that translates Continuity of Care Document (CCD) health data into Comma Separated Value (CSV) files — ready to export from any healthcare system and import into any database or third-party system that needs categorized patient information.
What it produces
For every CCD file processed, CCDXlate writes one CSV per category of health information:
- allergies.csv
- medications.csv
- problems.csv
- procedures.csv
- vitals.csv
The standard behind it
CCD is based on the HL7 CDA architecture. The Continuity of Care Document specification is an XML-based markup standard that defines the encoding, structure, and semantics of a patient summary clinical document for exchange.
Use in HIPAA-regulated environments
CCDXlate is built for use by covered entities and their business associates. It runs as a batch job inside your own environment, so protected health information stays within the safeguards you already have in place.
